APRR network grew with the construction of the French motorway network in the 1960s. Since 2006, APRR has operated and maintained 1,890 kilometers of Paris-Rhin-Rhône motorways. Its subsidiary, AREA, operates 409 kilometers of motorways in the Alpine region. Since 2019, APRR has implemented a "Safety Pass" for companies working on major motorway projects to raise awareness of the risks associated with working on motorways, enhance safety, and ensure compliance with procedures and the wearing of personal protective equipment. This pass is embodied in a guide and a training module provided to each participant. The winners are rewarded each year at an awards ceremony.
Made for you created the visual identity, the invitation, the design of the trophies, a presentation video, and printed communication materials, for the Safety Pass challenge of 2024.
A suggestive visual identity
The Safety Pass logo features the most representative piece of safety equipment on a worksite: the yellow helmet. The thick, intertwined typography and the colors evoke the motorway and the color of asphalt. The italic style gives movement to the logo. The bottom of the helmet is also used as an accent on the "é" of "Sécurité." The graphic style is modern and dynamic. The agency also designed the invitation, the display panels, and the trophies. Three pictograms were created to represent each of the trophies: maintenance of engineering structures, development operations, and pavement maintenance. The custom-made trophy designs were inspired by these themes.
An educational video
The motion design video is presented at the awards ceremony to explain its objectives and ambitions. It combines graphic elements and photos and capitalizes on the motorway in motion, resulting in a dynamic video with a natural flow. The texts, simplified and restructured, are accessible to everyone. They also highlight APRR’s role in initiating the challenge.
