Located at 18 rue du Tournon, Le Tournon is a bistro just moments from the French Senate and the Luxembourg Gardens in the 6th arrondissement of Paris. As one of the oldest cafés in Saint-Germain-des-Prés, it needed a fresh new look which would showcase its original character.
Made for you created a subtle new visual identity to better convey the café’s personality.
The team created the logo, the coasters and the menu, inspired by the impressive work of the architectural firm Christophe Bro.
A logo which highlights the café’s authenticity
The logo is inspired by the restaurant and its incredible architecture. The lettering subtly evokes the bistro’s lines, aged mirrors, woodwork and ornate frames, which emphasize Le Tournon’s impressive history. It boasts a slightly retro style for a classic yet contemporary result.
A concept inspired by its unique location
As a subtle reference to the bistro’s location opposite the French Senate, Made for you chose to design the bistro’s street number on its menu in the same style as the numbering on French legal texts. This gives this classic yet unusual bistro a real sense of character.
Timeless colours
The timeless colours are also inspired by the architectural choices and are designed to showcase the history of this unique venue, all while adding a modern touch.
